Keothavong dominated her 20-year-old opponent from the start, producing tennis that was by turns patient and clinical as she continued what is turning into the perfect warm-up for her first appearance at the French Open.
The world number 56 raced into a 4-0 lead in the first set but slipped to deuce and conceded a break point as her opponent dug in.
